Re-building the Dewdrop

This is the story of the "Dewdrop" (previously "Kathleen-Charlotte"). She's a Wooden Silhouette MK II, designed by Robert Tucker and built by Hurley Yachts of Plymouth in 1960. She was literally saved from the bonfire November 2006 and was given to me as a project. PLEASE READ FROM THE BOTTOM UP and feel free to leave comments!(More info on Silhouette's can be found at www.soia.org.uk) ***PLEASE READ FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE BLOG UPWARDS!***

Pictures

Pictures paint a thousand words, so you can see for yourself where things are up to. Going through glue like it's going out of fashion!

More pictures

Some more pictures of "where I'm at". Got to start thinking about colour schemes I suppose!

Life is............a pot of glue and a load of patience

Things are really moving on now. As you will see in the following pictures, All of the decks, cabin superstructure and most of the cockpit have been finally glued into place. All of the cockpit coamings have been cut, checked for fit and are ready to be glued into place.

The cockpit floorboards still need to be made, as do the seat/locker lids.

Almost ready for the roof to go on..................
